I kind of get it. Rich people are used to getting what they want all the time, so it must be refreshing to be told 'no' every once in a while. You know, to be told you have to sweat a little before you can get something. It's a bit like paying a sex worker to humiliate you - this is just a different kind of humiliation. It's not for everyone, as someone else pointed out in Rolex's defense. I like their watches, but I simply couldn't be bothered to go through all this nonsense just to give them my money.
